Some times prohibiting something can lead to good things – Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style Bourbon

One of the other TJs (Thosing Jo) members recommended that I give the Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style (115 Proof) bourbon a try.  I have to admit the moniker “Prohibition Style” had me very intrigued.  And when I took a sip of this bourbon I felt like I had been transported back to the 20s and was sitting around a hidden whiskey making operation having a drink with Al Capone and others.

This stuff is full of flavor.  Very straight forward whiskey nose – with slight essence of candy corn.  The flavor is sweet at the outset – like cane sugar, and then mellows into a drier peppery finish.  Give this a try – tis good stuff.  Thanks for the recommendation fellow TJ.  I rate it at 80.
